Eu Yan Sang Leverages Demandware for Expanded Digital Commerce Presence in Asia

BURLINGTON, Mass.

Demandware®, Inc. (NYSE: DWRE), the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, today announced that Eu Yan Sang, an Asia-based health and wellness group with an unrivaled reputation as the leader in the Traditional Chinese Medicine industry, migrated its digital commerce operations from a hosted solution to Demandware Commerce. With Demandware’s scalable cloud-based platform, Eu Yan Sang launched an ecommerce site in Singapore – www.EuYanSang.com.sg – in less than five months and has plans to further expand its digital presence within the region.

Eu Yan Sang has been a leader in Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 100 years, educating its customers on the relevance between product and lifestyle. Today, the group has more than 300 physical stores throughout the Asia Pacific region (APAC), with products sold in a variety of pharmacies, convenience stores, hospitals, health clubs and spas worldwide. A core element of the brand experience is the retailer’s customer engagement framework. This framework revolves around discovery and learning to encourage customers of all ages to take charge of their health by making conscious decisions about their consumption.

Leveraging the capabilities of Demandware’s cloud platform, Eu Yan Sang’s future commerce plans include centralizing the entire customer shopping experience, exploring mobile shopping capabilities with responsive design, and omni-channel enablement through digitizing its stores. Eu Yan Sang plans to equip its store associates with the tools needed to provide customers with more information in real-time, while also being able to complete transactions from the sales floor, further building on the retailer’s customer engagement framework. Eu Yan Sang is also exploring international shipping options.
