According to a media briefing of the results of The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and The Korea Institute of Science and Technology, it was confirmed that the probability of infection could reduce when people reduce the time to meet and increase frequent ventilation. It is confirmed if somebody stays with the corona-infected person for 12 hours, the probability of infection is 78%, and if stays 4 hours, it is lowered to 50%, and it is reduced to 22% when ventilating indoor every 10 minutes for 4 hours. However, Seoul Viosys expects the probability of infection to be reduced to 3% using Violeds air purification disinfector.

Seoul Viosys’ Violeds air purification disinfector is a product equipped with a Violeds module in an air purifier product and is a true air cleaning solution that prevents the spread of the virus by removing various viruses, bacteria, and fine dust. A typical air purifier’s HEPA filter can usually filter fine dust and droplets of 0.3 micrometers (㎛) or more, but viruses smaller than 0.1 ㎛ in size due to evaporation of moisture can pass through the filter. The triple filter type of Violeds air purification disinfector collects both droplets and fine dust in the indoor air, and its Violeds module also disinfects COVID-19 delta variant inflowing with the droplets by 99% in 5 minutes on the surface of the filter.

“The purification and first clinical use of penicillin discovered by Alexander Fleming had been taken 11 years and a long time to save millions of lives. However, we hope that our Violeds air purification disinfector technology is adopted by global product companies, and interest of government or local government with great leadership to save millions of lives and help small business owners suffered due to COVID-19 pandemic as well,” said Chung-hoon Lee, CEO of Seoul Semiconductor and founder of Seoul Viosys.
