BRANDSTARS Announces 2021 Korea Representative Brand

SEOUL, South Korea

BRANDSTARS Selection Committee selected Korea’s best industrial brands at the 2021 Korea Representative Brand.

Announcing the list of winning selections through major media in China and other Asian countries each year, the event was organized to not only provide product information to consumers at home and abroad for their rational choices, but also enhance the corporate brand value of related companies.

Korean brands are categorized into small, medium, and large enterprises and, through comprehensive media and consumer assessment followed by final expert evaluation, Korea’s representative brands are announced for each industry.

By industry, Samsung Electronics’ Samsung Galaxy (smartphone), Hyundai Motor’s Genesis (car), LG Electronics’ Whisen (air conditioner), Shinsegae Department Store (shopping), SSG.COM (online shopping), SKT 5GX (5G), Bacchus (energy drink), agabang (baby clothes), and HITEJINRO’s Terra (beer) were selected. In the category of entertainment, BTS (K-pop group) was chosen.

In the field of K-beauty, Amorepacific’s illiyoon (dermacosmetics), LG Household and Health Care’s The History of Whoo (oriental medical cosmetics), Olive Young (beauty multi-shop), and Well-Being Health Pharm’s Goun-bal (foot care) were selected.

The best K-food brands selected were Paris Baguette (bakery), bibigo (ready-to-eat food), Binggrae Banana Flavored Milk (milk), Buldak-bokkeum-myeon (spicy ramen), Chapaghetti (Chajang ramen), MAMACOOK (side-dish store), and Baunenajoogomtang (beef-bone soup).

LF HAZZYS (casual wear) and FILA (sportswear) were selected in the category of K-fashion; ASAN Medical Center (medical check-up) and CheongKwanJang (red ginseng) were chosen in the category of healthcare; Jeju (tourism city) and Seoul Kwangjang Market (culinary tourism) were selected as Korea’s representative tourism brands.

Among Brand K companies, NEO Safe Guard KF94 Mask (K-mask), New Wrap (kitchen utensils) and Speedrack (DIY furniture) were selected.

In particular, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors, LG Electronics, Shinsegae Department Store, Bacchus, agabang, HITEJINRO, BTS, LG Household and Health Care, Amorepacific, Olive Young, Paris Baguette, MAMACOOK, bibigo, Buldak-bokkeum-myeon, Baunenajoogomtang, CheongKwanJang, FILA, Well-Being Health Pharm, and Jeju were proven to be the brands continuously aspired by consumers, being in the list for two years in a row.

Our goal is to assist in consumers’ rational choices by announcing the 2021 Korea Representative Brand through media in Korea, China, and Southeast Asian countries.”
