WASHINGTON

The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and the China Center for Pharmaceutical International Exchange (CCPIE) today announced that the 2013 BIO Convention in China will be held November 11-13 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing, China. Leaders from the global biopharma industry will gather at this exclusive forum to develop strategic collaborations, establish distribution networks, find service providers and create cross-border alliances with companies from the U.S., Europe and Asia.

“China has set the stage for strong growth of biotech within its borders and made growing the biotech industry one of its top national priorities. The BIO Convention in China promotes partnering and deal making discussions that will open up opportunities for companies to expand throughout Asia,” said Alan Eisenberg, Executive Vice President of Emerging Companies and Business Development.

Now in its third year, the BIO Convention in China attracts more than 1,000 executives from 400 companies representing over 36 countries who will engage business development, networking and deal making opportunities. The conference will include plenary sessions, workshops and business roundtables, company presentations, exhibitions, and business development meetings using BIO One-on-One PartneringTM, an interactive environment to intelligently search, contact and schedule private meetings with potential partners and investors.

“CCPIE is proud to be part of such a prestigious collaboration during a time when biotech innovation in China is prime for advancement,” said Zhao Yajun, Director-General of CCPIE. “The BIO Convention in China is a must attend partnering event for those seeking in and out-licensing opportunities with multinational corporations.”

BIO brings to China more than 15 years of experience in organizing international conferences for the biotech industry, including the BIO International Convention – the global event for biotechnology – being held April 22-25 in Chicago, Illinois.
