As the expectations of society and needs of the customer change, Promega aspires to evolve with them. Corporate responsibility is a part of a foundation that supports the company’s future. Growth and long term planning in 2015 included investments in people, facilities, infrastructure, and products and services. Last fall, Promega Madison unveiled the Kepler Center which serves as our global supply chain center. In 2015, work began on renovations and expansions in California, UK, and Germany. Further investments in innovative research this last year resulted in 81 new patent filings, nearly 240 pending patents, as well as 21 new product launches in the past year.

Environmental Highlights

Promega is committed to environmental stewardship and aims to integrate the principles of sustainability across all aspects of our business, including the way we operate our facilities, transport products, and engage with customers. Since 2008, carbon emissions per building footprint has decreased 7% even with a 90% increase of high-energy intensive spaces. In 2015, we saw a reduction of 15% in water usage across the organization which saved 4 million gallons. For the future, goals have been set for environmental impact reductions in the areas of greenhouse gas emissions, electricity, natural gas, water, distribution emissions, and waste to be achieved by 2020.

Focusing on engagement and support in education, community wellness, and creativity helps to enrich the lives of those around us.
