LIMERICK, Pa.

Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, today announced an initial donation of $25,000 in support of disaster relief efforts in the Philippines. Teleflex is also organizing its global workforce to support this cause with donations that will be matched by the Teleflex Foundation.

Teleflex has identified the American Red Cross for its corporate grant, and it is also matching gifts of employees to other disaster relief agencies. Individual donations and group collections are taking place at Teleflex workplaces globally.

“Our purpose as a company is to improve the health and quality of peoples’ lives,” said Benson Smith, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We feel a deep responsibility to be part of the effort to support the people of the Philippines as they recover from this tragedy, and we are challenging our employees to give whatever they can to this effort by committing an equal match from the company,” he added.

Working with health care providers in Asia, Teleflex has donated HudsonRCI Aquapak ® pre-filled humidifiers and nebulizers to support clinicians in the Philippines.
