At the reception, executive editor of “ethica” and CEO of TRANSMEDIA Co., Ltd., Kentaro Ohtani had presented future prospects of “ethica”, along with video message from ethical conscious journalist, Ms. Yoshiko Ikoma and 2013 Miss Universe Japan, Miss. Yukimi Matsuo. Ethical fashion show produced by Fuki Aso, supervisor of “ethica”, followed.

In the fashion show, 2013 Miss Universe Japan Finalist Miss. Haruka Nagao appeared in organic silk and cotton-mixed material mini-dress from the collection — Little Black Dress — by People Tree. Then 2013 Miss Universe Japan Finalist Miss. Eriko Nakamura dressed in suit by London ethical fashion brand, INHEELS. The suit is bamboo and organic cotton-mixed material, and the stud necklace was made from metal of unexploded bombs in the minefield in Cambodia.

2012 Miss Universe Japan, Miss. Ayako Hara had the honor of closing the show. She appeared in Japan-made CIL dress. The leather bolero jacket is processed by earth-friendly vegetable tannin, printed by a vintage foil. After the show, “ethica” supervisor Fuki Aso and the 3 models talked about the discerning points of their dresses and ethical activities that they participate in.

After the fashion show, Ms. Alisa Durbrow, the image character for MIZUNO Corporation’s women targeted brand “+ me”, appeared and talked about “good for me” beauty tips and sports. Ms. Durbrow introduced what motivated her to exercise, and physical and mental changes experienced through it. Lastly, she recommended sports from ethical point of view to “ethica” readers.

With the cooperation of INHEELS and sponsor WELEDA JAPAN Co., Ltd., “ethica” original canvas bag was prepared as a gift to the guests, along with special sponsor Nature’s Way Co., Ltd.’s products (WELEDA, naturaglacé, chant a charm and BIOLAB), and tote bag by sponsor MIZUNO Corporation.

Feedback such as “the image toward ethical fashion had changed”, “have expectation toward new media ‘ethica’” and “will keep an eye for ‘ethical’ from now on” obtained from those attended the reception.

Newly launched on August 23rd, Zexy Premier’s chief editor Ms. Kobayashi and the editorial department had attended and exhibited Zexy Premier at the site. Zexy Premier and “ethica” will continue to enhance ethical wedding.

After the grand opening, “ethica ~good for me, good for the world~” is now providing ethical conscious information such as celebrity interviews (the first celebrity is Ms. Erika Sakurazawa, the manga artist), “Mayu’s Kitchen” to deliver French and Japanese food culture from Paris, and special column by Mr. Kazutoshi Shimizu, the author of “Hula Girl 3.11”. Not just enriching the contents, a system which features the most viewed article on a real-time basis had installed in order to improve the audience usability.

“ethica” will form alliance with media, for example appear on radio, and enrich ethical wedding contents, and propose sustainability of individual and the world as the first ethical conscious magazine in Japan.
